Seriously average vibe all night. Lamenting, mock-fights, pathetic interchange with the audience. If they wanted to seem like a bar mitzvah band, they got it. If they wanted the new album tracks to sound sharp by comparison, they got it. The "Forever" openers were hot, as were "Dr. Bernice" and "What You're Missing". The rest was a sad interchange of requests and "honestly I really like Milwaukee" lines. When he told the crew to "start up the bus" half way through the show, that was enough. It was lost. One encore, and lots of fans out the door who won't come to see Cracker again. Not that they would come this way again.
The band sounded great, but seemed a bit uninpired. I don't know if it was because of the small crowd or what, but David was in a very snotty mood. Why ask for requests, then cut down the people making them and just play what you were going to play anyway? I believe the fans derserved better than that...and the audience plant (arm wrestling?), give me a break!
I will look forward to my next Cracker show as always in hopes that David will remember where he came from, just play the music and if you're going to be an asshole, shut your mouth instead.
Peace...out.
