Hmmm. I've only ever seen Cracker one other time previous to this and that was in Atlanta with Counting Crows opening for them. I apologize for not keeping a set list. It was one of the shortest shows I've ever been to, so one would have hoped that I could have remembered.
All in all it seemed an ultra condescending show sprinkled with every "hit song" ever recorded. I suppose that the crowd was quite fratty and annoying as most of the appreciative people were working late in our film industry (we're jamming in Wilmington in preparation for the writer's strike). It wasn't the best venue, but very intimate. They played Eurotrash girl (although I hoped it would have been retired), Low, etc, etc. I Ride My Bike was wunderbar! The encore they played was really energetic as well with much sexy rock n' roll stuff from Brandy and Johnny. It was a very funny show, and eventually I got into the "We've been doing this for twelve years and are playing to these dorks? f#$k!" vibe.
I greatly enjoyed seeing Cracker and was very pleased that they graced my small little town. The Cinderella girl was superb.
Humble pie-ly submitted,
Kristen from Wilmington, NC
P.S. My favorite songs are "I Want Everything" and "Kerosene Hat". I doubt they ever play those live.
