Naturally, had a great time last night at the 9:30 Club. The crowd was really into it, I think more so than recent 9:30 shows.

Not having seen any of the February Apothecary shows, this was a fun time for me. I brought six people with me and they all enjoyed it.

It was one gem of a show last night in D.C. I had a lot of fun and I must say the Apothecary experience was fresh and certainly enlightened me to the fact that I've been overlooking a lot of great music. If you can possibly make the Apothecary shows this time around GO!

I think the interaction on stage went well. Everyone just looked like they were very comfortable and there to have fun.

This time Kenny was from Bethesda.

Anyone else in the Richmond area hear XL102 play 'Pictures of Matchstick Men' recorded live with the Apothecary cast around 7:15am? That was a pleasant surprise and a great way to top of my drive back down from D.C.

Looking forward to Carborro tommorrow night. Monday off to recuperate from the weekend. Tuesday back to the grind. I have/will have pictures to post...eventually.

Thanks for the setlist which concurs w/ mine, assuming the CVB stuff is right (I'm not conversant on CVB). Terrific show. approx 11:25- 1:20. Not packed out at all, but decent crowd (lots of people just there to be seen or to be social, i.e. talking alot during show, but that happens frequently at CRACKER.) The moving in and out by the various members was wonderfully done; quite seamless.

Highlights: my first HEAVEN KNOWS, WEDDING DAY, and WAITING FOR YOU GIRL; LOW in barely a midshow slot (E.GIRL, too, was nice out of the way early); the wacky remix during SWEET POTATO (and it's been awhile since I've seen any version); JAMES RIVER so crisp. That CVB guitarist (Greg?) did some really really nice stuff with the CRACKER songs he played on. And Johnny-in-pajamas looks perfectly natural.
