Well first off, after much off list email a few of us showed we are really true blue Cracker dorks, or I should say merely slaves to fashion. So in the spirit, Soraya, Karen, Shay, Jill and I showed up in PJ's. Well, I changed in the bathroom in the restaurant before dinner. We were a lovely site of plaid flannel, dragonfly patterned and plan old T-shirt and pull-on bottoms! What a hoot! I think Johnny got a kick out of it.
Anyway, the show started with Kitty, whom I had been looking forward to very much. And she was great. Simple folk set up just her and her guitar.
Cracker rocked. They played a lot of songs that they normally don't stand out for me was "Hollywood Cemetery" great to hear live. As this was the frist show I've seen with Brandy I must say she really has added a great new dimension to the band. But I really have to confess that the whole night for me came down to LP. Holy Somkes, Batman! But that woman CAN sing. What a voice to come out of just a little woman and her stage presence is magnetic. She is also very sweet. I went up to her after the show to say how wonderful I thought she was, she just smiled kinda shy and said thanks. I just kept thinging that the Cracker boys really are something special to have two very strong, very talented women on stage with them --- not many bands could do that. Needless to say I've had Cinderella on repeat a few times since then.
I know I should say more --- there is a lot more to say, but this is my dinner break. Ugh... I've still got a bunch of work to do.
