For those of you waiting breathlessly for a review of the Atlanta show, it was grand. Johnny and David were great, Kenny is fabulous as always and Brandy is just as cute as a button. I will leave the set list thingy to those who do it best (jess) but I got to be in the press pit to take photos and will post them somewhere on the net as soon as possible. Also I managed to charm my way backstage (further proof that being a cute girl will get you everywhere in this world) and I got Johnny to sign my press pass!
Must sleep now.

Sara, jill and I arrived in town very late and made the show with about 5 minutes to spare. We had to do some MAJOR crowd pushing though to get up front. 4'11", 80 pound (I'm taking a guess here) sara led the way through a majority of the crowd…followed by a 6ft jill and a 5'8" me. (The whole time with me going "what is wrong with this picture?"). I mean this girl was DETERMINED ;-) sara's platforms though took their toll and then jill's socceresque stamina kicked in and she bolted forward when we hit an open space in the crowd. We found the concert stage and proceeded to the front.
It was quite a cluster getting into the park or whatever it was that the show was held at. HUGE festival with a bunch of different stages all spread out. Not quite what I expected. MUCH more intense than the downtown festival held last summer in the middle of D.C. (the official name escapes me) Come to find out that even though it was called music midtown, the location this year was actually downtown because they built a bunch of buildings or somesuch on the usual site…at least, this is what someone on the street told us as we were frantically searching for the place. We got there later as anticipated, as I've said, and so we faced one hell of a crowd at the gate. I think due to the olympic park bombing atlanta has been forever changed as far as mass public gatherings go…security was INSANELY tight. Sounds like the colorado show was akin to the atlanta show…fun, but shorter and the 'hits' basically.
oh yeah, how many streets named 'peachtree' does one town need?

Ah, I see you were on the OTHER side of the fence. We were mosh pit-side (yes, mosh pit/crowd surfing…to just about everything, including Mr. Wrong) I, in all my infinite wisdom, brought along a video camera…very interesting. Won't be doing that again. Thankfully the camera… remained intact. Have not a clue as to how the footage turned out…haven't had a chance to check it out.
