Kitty opened! I missed part of her set, but since the last time I saw her, back in early Dec '99, she's playing at least 3 new songs besides Doctor! Justin and another guy were backing her up too. It sounded good, and the crowd that was there did like her music.
Joe 90 was on next, they played good, but I guess I'm not a fan of their music.
Cracker's set was great, complete with a few goof ups and a birthday.
David announced that it was Brandy's birthday (I know her real bday though...), and she even got a (very last minute) birthday present from the group that trekked down from Richmond with me - a MOONPIE ! : )
They tried to start Shake Some Action (no, that is not a typo...), but something goofed up, the crowd cheered, and everyone wandered off into their own music while the crowd shouted "go David, go David, go David". Frank had everyone waving their arms as they chanted. Then they started it again ... with the same results. whoops. The third time was a charm though.
Johnny was in blue pjs, and he had his guitar on wireless even! He was enjoying running around the stage without his cord holding him back. Look out for him, he's really enjoying being cordless. In fact, a little bird mentioned to me that he's running around the stage like Garth Brooks now.
I really need some sleep now...
