I've seen the boys many times and each time is the best show yet...
Tonight's was in the worst possible circumstances with the lamest all ages crowd But of course Cracker proceeded to tear the house down. It was one of those 12 band radio station birthday shows and they only had an hour and they followed Marcy Playground(blah) and Everlast(formerly known as House of Pain (actually closed with jump around (PUKE!)))
But man, did cracker ever set that right. The adrenaline is still flowing....
Setlist (nearly in order)
Teen Angst The World Is Mine Eurotrash Girl Pictures of Matchstick Men 100 Flower Power Maximum I Ride My Bike I Hate My Generation Low The Good Life Get Off This Movie StarSo I'm used to longer full sets and I definitely did miss the quieter/weirder songs but the intensity was amazing without them -- there was no letup. The new songs do sound much more proper live (as they should) and everyone was in top form... David sporting a black suit looking very beat phase...Johnny was even more rocking and solid than usual. And wow -the new drummer rocks! What I'd give right now to see a full show!
Afterwards as we were leaving, (as was most of the crowd) (guess bigbadvoododaddy shouldn't have closed after all) we were standing around out front and who walks up to us and shook hands and small talked but Johnny.
Right on.
All in all, not a bad night...
