track 24, wow
My "...lucky # 7.." Cracker performance, # will be Sat @ ECSC :) The guys sign my cd too. I asked them if I could take a group pic, & David quiped back with exactly the words I would have expected to hear him say: "Well I don't see a camera." & as soon as he said it, the words were actually still hanging in the air, I whipped out my high quality Kodak disposable indoor/outdoor 27 exposed camera. I started to step back to get everyone in the shot, & David then said for me to get someone to take the pic for me & for me to come around the counter to get a pic WITH the band!!! I had my friend J take it for me. I just hope it came out good. I think he put his arm around me too, I can't really remember, I was awestruck.
The drummer was really nice too, I had never interacted with him before & on the way out I snaked 2 of the promo Plan 9 posters, & she got one of the Cracker Virgin promo posters. It's a bigger pic of the pic that the cd cover is over, the cat with wing(?) says FINE OLD WHISKEY 100 PROOF.
Of note: had a mini conversation with Bob Rupe pertaining to next Saturday's (hopefully still occurring) ECSC concert. I mentioned that the 2nd CD was for my friend in Virginia Beach who couldn't make it to Plan 9 with me and he asked me if I was aware of the upcoming show there--I said yes--then he wrinkled up his forehead and asked exactly where it (ECSC concert) would be held in VB. I was a little caught off guard by the question but I thought it neat that he asked me. I told him it would be at 5th street--right down at the beach, then he said something to the effect of: oh, so you'll be able to see the surf then--and I said definitely. I mentioned that I wasn't able to go to see them perform in DC the next day and that I hoped Bonnie wouldn't jeopardize next weekends events as I was able to see them then. He responded by giving a worried look back and nodded in agreement.
