Friday night @ Town Point Park was another magnificent show. They played from about 740-900pm. The city forces outdoor shows to be over by then.

I am truly disgusted with the local newspaper for not doing an article as they did last yr. They say ver 20,000 Crackersouls were there last year, Friday's show had to be a comparable #, if not more.

Once cool fan had a posterboard saying PLAY CRACKER SOUL on the other side it said IT COMES SO EASY. As they played it, Johnny pointed it out to David & Bob, & they all CRACKed up. Then the fan held up a THANK YOU sign.

I got back in the VIP section. I got a couple of pics of them passing by on the dock, & near the trailer. David was drinking Foster's & Heinekin. Johnny had Corona & MGD, as did the lady Bob was with. It was a fiesty show, security had to break a couple of squirmishes up.

About 1/2 way through, the sound guy screwed up. It happened between songs. He was backstage flirting with a girl in the VIP section. David said something to the gist of "I wonder what's wrong when our sound guy is backstage picking up girls."

Again, excellent show. (as usual). That was my 6th. & I did see the passes the guy were wearing, you are correct Jess, if that's the GB cd cover, it's quite spiffy.

....same basic set as last weeks mayo show, but a bit shorter, they dropped 'i ride my bike' , 'loser' , that FSK tune The Shiner Song and if they did 'useless stuff' last week, that was missing tonight , as well, in exchange we got 'infirmary' and they closed with 'movie star'..... seems they got a coast guard ride to/(from?) backstage.

pretty good crowd again this year and another great show.

Johnny spent a couple minutes out talking with the crowd during the warm up bands opening few tunes.

ahhhh......this is always the worst part, waiting for the next one !!! hope we got a birthday bash scheduled somewhere, i got a week off

kinda be nice for a cd release , huh ?

Cracker got a ride in by CG but not out...being a Cracker fan and Coastie I was EXTREMELY envious of the station Portsmouth crew (they get ALL the action, this time was no exception) Can't complain though because I got right up front. Didn't seem quite as long as last weeks show but still was great!!! Crowd was a bit, um should I say... livelier.
